The Kern River Valley is highly committed to drug free community living and extremely proud of our local youths who, by example and demonstration, reinforce that commitment daily.

One of the largest and most active groups is the Kern Valley Kids Against Drugs. Co-founders, Darlene Randall and Tracy Watson, both of Kernville, have created an unique organization that not only encourages drug free living, but offers wholesome activities and alternatives that promotes self-esteem for valley children of all ages. It is fast becoming a model for other small California community youth groups.
