Highs in upper 70's to low 80's (Don't forget, our temps are taken at the dam area which is usually 5-10 degrees cooler than other valley areas) TONIGHT: Clear. Evening winds northwest. Snow level above 6000'. Lows in the upper 40's to low 50's.

EXTENDED LOCAL FORECAST:  AT SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA'S BEST KEPT SECRET!  Friday: Sunny day and clear night & breezy throughout.. Afternoon winds northwesterly at 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 30+ mph. Snow level above 6000'. Highs in upper 70's to low 80's, lows in the upper 40's to low 50's. Saturday - Monday: Sunny days & mostly clear nights through period. Be safe traveling on the roads and while anywhere near the Kern River!

Emergency vehicle equipment, chains, blankets, water, etc. for remote upper areas always recommended. Do not use charcoal or propane space heaters in confined areas.
