Diane Versteeg loves
animals. With a bachelor of Science degree in Zoology, her life revolves around
them, whether it is observing them in the wild, drawing them, or caring for
them as an animal keeper in a zoo, sanctuary or shelter. Diane has participated
in many juried shows, and is a member of the Society of Animal Artists, the
Guild of Natural science Illustrators,, and the Wildlife Artist Association.
She has produced artwork for the Living Desert Wildlife and Botanical Park's
newsletter, fund-raising brochures, gift shop items, and on-site graphics.
Versteeg also illustrated 30+ on-site graphics for the Orange County Zoo and a
metaphysical book on Shamanic animal powers. She hopes that her art shows her
love and respect for animals and the natural world and encourages others to
feel the same way toward the non-humans of the planet.
