D. NICHOLSON MILLER
Biography

D. Nicholson Miller is a nationally recognized wildlife artist who has spent the last 15 years painting wildlife the way nature created it-mesmerizing and dynamic.

Miller describes himself as a self-taught artist, he's had no formal art training. He says his MBA from San Jose State University didn't help create his artistic style. Utilizing media that include gouache, egg tempera and acrylic, he meticulously builds his images with thousands of brush strokes that create a realism so lifelike it challenges the reality of the mind's eye.

It is the realism that has organizations like California Waterfowl Association and Ducks Unlimited select him as artist of the year. It is the realism that has placed his work on magazine covers, made him featured artist for numerous fine art shows, and awarded him a series of conservation stamps for several Canadian Provinces.
