GARY H. WONG Biography |

Mr.Wong has worked in his primary medium of watercolor since 1952
. his versatility has made him very proficient with acrylics, pen and ink as
well as with the airbrush medium. His paintings are expressed in the
traditional form and oriented toward realism, with a blend of Oriental and
Western style In 1995 Mr. Wong was invited to be sole judge for the Lancaster Art Museum's Spring Art Exhibition. He has also been accepted to participate in the La Quinta National Art Festival and in the prestigious Watercolor U.S.A. National Exhibition in the Springfield Missouri Art Museum. His works have been exhibited nationally in venues that range from Art festivals and museums to a show sponsored by the California Arts Council. His painting Millennium Celebration was the official poster for the Laguna Beach Art-A-Fair Summer Festival for 2000. Additionally his work Golden Eagle was selected as one of the top 100 paintings in the 1999-2000 Arts for the Parks Competition in Jackson, WY. The California State Chamber of Commerce collected The Golden Gate Bridge and Yosemite Falls which hung in the rotunda of the State Capitol this year. |
