ROBERT L. ZEISLER Biography |
||
Retired local professional artist and Chief Photographer Mate USN,
I'm a fine arts painter doing mostly watercolors and acrylics of wildlife and
scenic landscapes. Last year I started woodworking using a small lathe turning
wooden pens and this year I have added scrimshaw on deer antler to the pens.
The woodworking has grown into wood carving and engraving. Having sold several pieces in the Maturango Museum 2006 Open Studio Tour in Ridgecrest, California, I have several pens, perfume atomizers and paintings at Lana Jeans Country Art and Home Decor also in Ridgecrest. Since I graduated from Evanston High School in 1955, I have been a commercial and technical illustrator and was in the Navy on active duty from 1960 - 1981 with a job code as a motion picture director and aerial cameraman. I am also a graduate of The Naval Cinema School at USC, LACA. I also have membership in the California Watercolor Association, the American Watercolor Society, the Aguabonita Flyfishers, Life membership of the National Association of Naval Photography and The old Antarctic Explorers Association. |
