Welcome to Kern River Valley's
Visitor Information Center!

This site was created to provide tourist incentives to visit and enjoy the beautiful Kern River Valley. The area is popular for it's numerous outdoor and recreational activities, but it's historic and scenic treasures, quaint village antique and craft shops, and diverse winter playgrounds are one of Southern California's best kept secrets.

Many of those that visit us on a regular basis during the peak summer season are not even aware of the numerous major films and movies that have been created in various locations throughout the valley; the many gold mines and lumber camps scattered in the surrounding Sierra Mountains; the colorful history of Whiskey Flat (Kernville) and it's pioneer families; the strong local indian heritage and ceremonial sites; or the vast bio-regions and wildlife that flourish along our wild and scenic Kern River and the shores of Lake Isabella.

It is our mission to encourage you and your family to visit us and tour these wonderfully historic and exciting locations during the off-season and less hectic peaceful weekdays. To accomplish this, we offer a specialty package containing maps, guides, travel information, tour suggestions, and a wide array of lodging, dining, recreational and adventure discount coupons. The value of included maps and guides alone are much more than the token cost of the package.

We hope you will take advantage of this exciting getaway offer and contact us if you have any questions whatsoever regarding our area.
