FORUM FAQ's

Back to Forum Post

Here is a brief explanation of some of the questions you may have about Canyon Connection's Forum.

Can I put html tags anywhere in my posts?

No. You can not use HTML tags in any field except body of the message. Canyon Connection is allowing HTML tags in the Message part of your posting. Your html markup will appear in the posting. The Forum is not the place to advertise businesses and this permit may be discontinued if abused.

Why are there colons in the message when I try to post a followup?

Colons appear in the message dialog box when you try to followup up on a message to indicate that those lines are quoting the previous document. Canyon Connection has disabled the quoting of previous messages to conserve directory space.

Why didn't my post show up?

Your post most likely did not show up, because your browser did not reload the page, it simply pulled it out of cache. Please reload your browser and it should then appear.

Why are so many screens needed to post messages?

Canyon Connection has installed a "preview page". This allows you to review your message, grammar, and spelling prior to final posting. You may find that this preview will save you some embarrassments in your submittals. We know we've needed it on occasion. Use your browser's back button to redo entry. Sorry, you'll have to redo the entire entry, we haven't figured out how to just permit minor corrections yet.

Where can I get the scripts for this program?

The scripts used by Canyon Connection are written in Perl, created and copyrighted by Matt Wright. Canyon Connection appreciates this valuable service offered by Mr. Wright. If you would like information on how to get a free copy of this script, contact us at: Publisher@kernvalley.com
